out was at 11am, fantastic, thought i d have a lie in before i drove to devon, turns out the laundry cart

lift was used for both guests & laundry

outside our room was cluttered with laundry wagons

room service staff the orchid restaurant amazing requesting what you needed or required was great

everything worked: flawless wifi, excellent showers, comfortable beds

there is parking for 12 a night and ev charging facilities

i believe this should be waived for persons staying at the studley unless you require ev charging

wifi was a bit of a let down, as with a lot of hotels, but this didn't detract from our stay.

toilet facilities (both) out of order no toilets to use, when walking to room dirty laundry and empty bottles

one was a double room and also room was supposed to be cleaned but someones dirty laundry was left in one of

i did ask if i need to pay for the laundry, as i'm sure that is outsourced

when we entered our room, it smelled strongly of dampness like old laundry that had been left wet for too

really, however laundry carts and bags and dirty plates and glasses left in the corridor overnight is just a

noise from the laundry building(i think) below our room at night

on staircase near room and dirty laundry lying in the corridor instead of being bagged or put into a trolley

one last thing is the guest wifi is not password protected (for work calls that has been slightly concerning)

the free pool table was also a nice touch, it also had a great bar area and a lovely dining room

even after requesting to room service they will leave sparkling water instead of still.

our room appeared to be above the kitchen or laundry so could hear machinery operating below..

the laundry was efficient but the hotel provided two different price lists without explanation

got charged extra for a late check out when i asked as i was on crutches and the hotel wasn t accessible

room was clean and well appointed the laundry was changed every day

we found out the pet surcharge was 50% of the room price upon leaving the hotel

somewhere to sit, have coffee and read the paper which is away from the public bar and

with our dogs, very pet-friendly

wifi was a bit naff but i didn't need it so it was no problem at all

we had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, it was very nice that they were able to cater for veggie and

nb room service not usually available but provided to us in this occasion

the room service menu for me and my son was overpriced frozen food and we both enjoyed feeling very

five star hotels have room service and laundry service

we didn't see any prices on bar drinks until we checked out

we were very surprised to find the bar separate from the lounge and unmanned although a very obliging gentleman

i found there to be plenty of on-site parking

asking for suggestions, i suggested that breakfast could start slightly earlier or as an alternative, an earlier

knaresborough for around 9 (around 15 minute drive) but if you want to drive there is plenty of parking
