room was very comfortable and clean, and hosts were very accommodating with our request for an early check in

staying here super friendly and helpful as i required a late check out super smooth comfy stay would recommend

a huge shower, comfy bed, excellent location, breakfast was amazing, staff were lovely, will definatly be

65 per room for a saturday night in tavistock is incredible value and to include breakfast is phenomenal

the bar and meals menu looked inviting and we will return for that

and given our two room keys at the bar which had a fob to get through to the rooms, we had room 3 and 4

the lady behind the bar in the evening was welcoming and friendly

i would like to have had the availability of a spa or treatment room and a gym.

there were no prices on any menus or even an actual bar menu so we had little idea of what things were costing

didn t like our room which had no view, was very hot and had the fumes /smells / sounds of kitchen extractor

excellent wifi

wifi was a bit unreliable. no good eating places within easy walking distance

was a slight issue with the wifi but it was easily fixed so i cannot complain

had previously confirmed via email that there would be self laundry facilities, but they didn't exist

breakfast finishes a bit early.

rude to have housekeeping knocking on your door asking when you re leaving when you have booked late check

i got lost every morning going for breakfast

room was good, bed comfortable. wifi excellent. needed that for work.

room was nice, breakfast was good, dedicated staff and good location

staff were very polite and the manager was very helpful at breakfast time which we found

it didn t have its own car park and no full english breakfast.

laundry a bit expensive

the bathroom was tired and definitely in need of a little tlc laundry despite being advertised was unavailable

were put in the rooms outside of the castle which was disappointing, rubbish and laundry from previous guests

gave misleading advice regarding downloading the app to get free late check out

after unpacking and settling the kids for bed, i was horrified to find the duvet in the double bed was damp

the bedroom a laundry and dry cleaning service available

pool could of been a little warmer, saying that, the pool was a great size and the kids did have fun once in

the pool was a bonus

quite noisy at times though due to location and events in hotel meant lots of kids running around early in the

restaurant with gluten free options, and free gym, pool, facilities

the room seemed to be above or close to the laundry and you could hear it most of the night

also on a similar vein my room must have been close to the laundry room, because i put some of my things on

location for our needs, ample parking which is always a bonus

large rooms, comfortable and clean. loved the ambience in the bar and restaurant.

we asked for room service as we had taken our daughter to university and were very tired

bathroom in our executive room was tiny, we were right next to the laundry room so at 7am on sunday morning we

only downside was the lack of information on room service and how to go about ordering etc, very unimportant

pool was a tad cold and the bath was way to small. no man can fit in that bath.

the pool was good for the kids

loved it, will be back with the kids very soon. thank you

chatted to the owner in the bar the night we stayed and found roy a very warm and friendly person who had the

wifi not great - bit slow and dropped out once or twice when e-mailing whilst reviewing large files

breakfast was

kind staff and the hotel is super pet-friendly

hotel coped very well with us having a pet -evening meal served in the bar with our dog and breakfast

also the bar area was very small, although the real fire was lovely

just a few of the great points about the property and surroundings: - very well equipped kitchen including

parking is on a very steep sideways slope and can be crowded but it is on a hillside and was a bank

was left on over night, i think it was the extractor fan for the kitchen, which our family room was above

we found the bar to be very well equipped with a great selection of local cornish gin's, much to my delight

didn't need the laundry but saw people use it

parking unclear

the staff did so much to make it a romantic occasion with red rose petals on the tables

there was a charge on our room service bill for bar drinks (we didn't have any)

reception staff at check in were very good, as were the staff who dealt with the room service

able to swop our room as i forgot to ask for a bath size of room service v good

hotel accommodated us with an early check in

no mirror no shower very poor wifi on top floor fire escape from the room was banging and slamming all night

our only comment would be wifi on devices or tv would be intermitent

there was no heating in mid feb and no tv wifi or breakfast
