wifi very poor, totally disappeared at times

really excellent place for a family of four to stay - the kids loved the room and their own tv

woke up at 7am to the laundry collection and delivery van which went on pushing trolleys for bout 40-50 minutes

we had room service two nights this time after long hikes in the day and i am always worried having room

bit of difficulty parking on arrival but adjusted quite happily when we understood the need to keep artificial

there is parking on site and the staff are all lovely

wifi was extremely weak but is to be expected from somewhere so far out in the countryside

youg girl is a credit to the owners she does everything, she ran the bar the restaurant nothing was too much

the next morning my wife and i were served the best hotel breakfast we have ever had

we saw two deers walking in the gardens outside while eating our breakfast

we stayed for no longer than half an hour when approx another 10 towels were stacked high and the laundry basket

access was through reception including food sauna laundry only 4 course menu available in evening at 40 per

spa pool was beautiful, the rooms felt very luxurious and the location was stunning

wifi signal could be enhanced in some rooms.

unfortunately the 'drying room' was a small shed outdoors filled with other wet gear plus hotel laundry and

it helped as a good alternative to get to good hiking locations without having to think about parking

use the car all weekend, just walked straight from the hotel - appreciated having the onsite parking so i could

what encouraged us to stay there was the location-however the very intermittent and challenging wifi were a big

poor breakfast buffet and service, a de luxe room whose outlook was the bin store, laundry room and

their room view looked the laundry, and a big black flat roof

our room was at the back of the hotel with views of the laundry area so i

only the wifi that kept on coming off

gentleman who was unsteady onnhis feet adked if he woukd like a habd with breakfast service, the gym and all

our room shook (unsure why we thought our room may have been near a laundry room which caused our room to shake

thing i could think of is that we could have done with laundry bags to put used bedding/towels in as they need

of the room being right next to the laundry room meant we got woken up quite early

the staff was amazing even on arrival, debs on the reception was very welcoming, the staff in the bar as well

was comfy parking is accessibly down the block at the cricket ground for 2/day laundry is accessible somewhat

wifi connection wasn't very good.

i was disappointed that the wifi was not available in the rooms.

was a bit further out than expected and online says there are laundry facilities at an extra charge, however

my room was accessed through a laundry room and a lounge that felt like a set for the young ones

laundry bags dumped on chairs in public areas making in

laundry and very difficult to manoeuvre ourselves and our bags around them

there were a large number of laundry bags left in the hallway for around 2-3 days which obstructed the route

went off at property for number of hours on 9/9/23 phone in room did not work couldn t use room service

was the first time we had taken our dog away with us and considering that this was a pet friendly hotel we were

we have eaten at the hotel many times both in the bar and restaurant but this is the first time we have stayed

in the gorgeous cartmel village cosy and romantic hotel with lovely quirky rooms lovely bar and dining area,

were helpful by phone regarding my query for a very early check in as needed to change my clothes after train

wifi wasn t in the rooms in the perfect english accommodation which was disappointing

the bar is most excellent. the french chap knows his stuff. very pleased.

happy hour cocktails or offers at the spa made known in advance as would have probably booked

breakfast and evening meal in the restaraunt small swimming pool and steam room were perfect
