is often the case the pet friendly rooms are usually a little tired and away from the main area of the

still retains a lot of original old world features, the main bar was cosy with a roaring fire and local musicians

also, when we asked for the pudding list (after our main course) we were told the kitchen was closed

wifi is not connection in the 4 floor in my room need to come down to call family that was bad if

so noise woke me up but not kids

electric heating in the room was difficult to control. bar loos were in need of a revamp.

i know the kitchen is small but a little bit of variation of the breakfast could be good

two bedrooms, one of which had the tv, sofa, kitchen and we also had another area with armchairs

only issue i had was that the wifi didn't reach my bedroom, but for most of the day it was easy to use the wifi

on day four we discovered the hotel does not have a self-service laundry and there is no public self-laundry

really a problem, but i was amused that the slip i filled out for the laundry service didn t seem to recognize

room at the back turned out to be above the hotel s laundry facility which went on all through the night

we had the best nights sleep we've had in a while and breakfast was delicious

the bathroom had inadequate laundry supplies and we arrived to find only half a toilet roll

- no shampoo in room, could not adjust room temperature, inconsistent messages from staff about laundry pick-up

the spa pool was very nice and a great extra, although the showers could do with updating.

breakfast is awesome with a fantastic choice and the spa area is good when kids aren't around.
