booked this getaway to get away from the kids and have an adults romantic getaway this was the x complete opposite this was all a lie

the bartender in heaven and the bar next to umo were beyond amazing

the resort is massive, with multiple beach fronts, pool areas, a water park, numerous restaurants and facilities

quality of food , water park and everything was super clean

we enjoys the restaurants, bowling, water park, mini gulf and the swimming pool

at the beach's buffet were excellent, and so were the staff at the kids club (which they call barcy club)

the food was excellent, room very comfortable, pools and beach awesome

the water at the beach was so warm, and the kids had a blast at the waterpark too (free waterpark) (+) my 2yo and 6yo loved the kids pool too (+)we loved! barcelo maya the beach was the best place for our little kids (+)resort was absolutely stunning, lots for the kids to do (-) kids still slept fine in them though (+)to eat and where to go every day get an all inclusive package, very convenient to travel with kids, we went there with my three years old and my nine months old and it was very comfortable (-)kids club closes to early at 5 pm (+) my kids loved the pool (+) my 4-year-old son had a great time in the kids club, shows at night were entertaining, good service to pick up the glasses around the beach (+)at the beach's buffet were excellent, and so were the staff at the kids club (which they call barcy club) (-)not a really wonderful experience to wait with two small kids

breakfast was just okay unless you got a omelet cooked which was pretty dang good

they have a great little kids club all the pools are super nice we actually somehow i accidentally got the premium package

the food was great! the bed was very comfy. the beaches were beautiful and the pool was lovely.

was nice ariel gonzales was super informative alfonso was nice as well, the spa hortencia and kenya were great

and still ideal for families but the food at the royal level was much better and you had your own pool that was very chilled with nicer sun loungers and you never had to fight for space

of the staff would answer bad or make faces and seem like they we're doing you the favor and the golf cars at night passes to fast and won't stop for you and it almost seem like they were running

it did not bother us too much as our kids were small so tired by then but if you were relying on good entertainment, you would need see

we were upgraded to a swim-out room in the top vip section of the hotel, which had its own pool, pool bar and restaurant, which we really enjoyed

on excursions should have been better, especially for having to pay for drinks at the excursion bar and then only having beer as an alcohol option on the boat

nice availability of cabanas and pools around the area - great lunch options with the wood fired pizza and taco station - beautiful

away for dinner some nights because they are no longer take walk-ins some guests forced to use room service in those situations once room service didn t show up main buffet closed most nights

we loved the daily volleyball games in the pool and getting to know other travelers

plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and on the beach

breakfast til late night room service the foods offered were varied and delicious

without beach shoes, there is a clear risk of injury

private location for relaxing in the sun in pure 5 star luxury, everything from the bach, the pool, the rooms with the most comfortable beds ever to the most fabulous foods ever eaten anywhere
