excellent restaurant and bar area and food was lovely

is an excellent small hotel set directly on the riverfront in appledore, the hotel/restaurant and bar areas are very well appointed and the food was actually superb

the suite had separate bathroom and kitchen and lounge area

location, good facilities inc kitchen, fresh milk provided for a cup of tea/coffee, pub approx 10 minutes walk that serves

we were expected to cook on the aga which like all agas could not be switched off leaving the kitchen/sitting room and bedroom that had no separate door, uncomfortably warm

wonderful kitchen/living area with absolutely everything you could need

( loved watching the squirrels) there is plenty of parking off-road and a great location for bideford (-)my fault but i scraped my car against the wall parking it ! (+)excellent location for the big sheep, parking for the studio is great, peaceful location. (-)parking is a challenge, although there is only 5 rooms there is in reality on 2 proper parking (+)had the apartment with terrace which had its own parking space (+) great to have free and secure car parking (+) free parking (+)beautiful building, clean, simple and quiet room. safe parking. (+)were looked after so well in this lovely period b&b - plenty of parking and great location just out of (+) parking was also good

was ideal for a short golf event.

just make sure if you want a drink at the hotel to take your own as bar service is very very scarce

everything was exceptional except bar was only open on the weekend

bar prices were rather high, particularly for wine, which started at nearly £19 a bottle

food, nice & clean staff were pleasant great location for all amenities inc crazy golf, theater and short walk to harbor and town center tho the town is up a steep hill, be warned

a bit tired !! and sparsely furnished in the foyer/ bar area , not very welcoming.

breakfast and evening entertainment were good and the icing on the cake was the location, easy

having wifi breakfast like the bar on the first floor and my room lovely spacious shower

the breakfast was excellent, staff very pleasent and helped with luggage.

there was a choice of breakfast to satisfy anyone, from a 'full english' to fruit, cereal and everything in between

lovely choice at breakfast. maybe difficult to park close by in the holiday season.

the hotel had a nice bar with doom bar on tap

your breakfast staff were excellent along with your bar staff and if we come back to ilfracombe, we will definitely stay at the britannia again

everything was absolutely perfect, moreover with a very reasonable price that included an amazing breakfast

we were told there was no room service for breakfast as there was limited staff in but during our breakfast we saw a room

insufficient toilet paper and no way of phoning for room service

room service was excellent and the staff couldn't have done more for us.

breakfast was delicious and the spa pool and jacuzzi were excellent
