fabulous location, amazing view of the low cloud and mist, and some awesome dogs in the bar

only criticism is the bar stool and the end of the bar absolutely stinks of wee ud83eudee3 which we didn t realise

bar has great food and staff couldn t have made us feel more welcome

first night water leaked from the bath to the kitchen ceiling which cut of the lights which means we have to go out to have our dinner

resaurant in food hall was excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast and again the staff were friendly helpful andf inform ative and the service was very good

the mini bar is a lovely touch

all new furnishings, generous mini bar and friendly staff in reception and in the food hall

lots of perks such as dressing gowns, slippers, free mini bar with cans of pop

the convenience of the food hall is great and the breakfast is delicious

great shower , great bed and lovely use of well stocked kitchen

liked the guest kitchen with bottles of water, little snacks to help yourself

little touches in the hotel made a real difference - in room flapjacks & sweets, guest kitchen and luxury toiletries

nice touches was the guest kitchen with fresh fruit,water and cereals freely available

where lovely, there where even towelling robes left out for us there is a lovely guest kitchen where you can help yourself to continental breakfast

beautiful decoration in the rooms and lovely traditional bar and restaurant

welcomed by the gentleman at the bar and checked in with minimal fuss

friendly bar with a good choice of beers and wine

my other half went for breakfast whilst i stayed in bed with a hangover and i got a bacon butty brought back

cost rooms and polite staff, with a great breakfast.

and breakfast would have been good, but i know the inn is refitting their kitchen

room was really noisy - we were next to the staff room / kitchen and there was thumping music from the moment of our arrival until midnight

our room was located above the bar and near the kitchen so was quite noisy.

paid bed and breakfast , but breakfast was not possible due to kitchen refurbishment we are offered a refund but never materialised you need to update your

location very good only downside was kitchen was closed

the room was clean, comfortable and peaceful with breakfast prepared at the main house and brought over to us from a menu we could pick what we

breakfast was superb and all the owners could not do enough for us

get a table , there were queues at all the food stations , people waiting with empty plates , the kitchen staff couldn t keep up with the demand , having accepted that we would do without bacon

breakfast was very good although apparently due to staff shortages in the kitchen, the trays of cooked items was not being replaced quickly enough when empty

kitchen on the first floor, same as my room, smelt of boiled vegetables throughout the corridor

room was tired only seating was 2 kitchen chairs

could do with teatowels/oven glove too in the kitchen and maybe instructions for cookers as we weren't too sure how to use them so just had to

clean, traditional and full of character. lovely kitchen and walk in shower.

access was available either through reception or from the rear, which was convenient from the car parking area

bed and fantastic shower room, tea and coffee making facilities also provided along with free wifi

there was parking which was a bonus and a good location for key hot spot locations to visit

parking was a bit tight

the staff and the bar / restaurant downstairs was excellent and finished to a high quality

property was lovely view from window was amazing bar was lovely

30 very noisy, even at this time, from the bar and the outside frontage

the bar area was very lively with low level music being played, which worked well for me as conversing

at breakfast time, no staff about, could hear someone in kitchen, waited for quite a while

the kitchen is very well appointed and made it easy to cater for the group at the lodge

some of the kitchen utensils looked very questionable

perfect for what we needed, the room was big and nice, big garden round the back with lots of parking - also dog

the bar meal was very good and we wished we had booked in advance for the following evening

nye disco started too early with kids running around whilst we were still eating our meal
