stayed on a saturday night so it’s to be expected but the bar / function rooms were very loud and rowdy until about midnight

had a good time, very clean , good breakfast, games and colouring for kids at the restaurant, nice people

staff were all very friendly and we had both our evening meal & breakfast in the restaurant / bar area

we also asked for an early check in and this was granted

other thing would be a few guests got quite shouty in the night and were swearing which woke our kids up but i understand the staff couldn't do anything to prevent this

limited choices and higher prices at the bar than the toby carvery next door.

the hotel was generally a little bit tired but was good value for money for us going to the open golf at troon

having usb sockets the wifi was patchy and wouldn t stay connected in the room but was fine in the restaurant

bit awkward getting through the busy bar with a suitcase to check in but i guess that's to be expected

we stayed in the junior suite we are a family of four with two kids so the room size was perfect

happy with ibis budget hotel for the price we paid for our 2 night stay while attending the open golf 2024 at royal troon

location was perfect everything u need for a great day with the kids.
