the hotel is on the southern outskirts of caen near a lorry park, so not a scenic experience but convenient for main road links

the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with parking directly below our room window

having to pay for wifi in 2018 (at one euro per hour) is not good (-)bit basic, but very good for the price. wifi isn't free in the rooms. (+) wifi was ok (-) the wifi connection was poor in my room, fortunately my phone compensated (-) also the wifi access was not free as it is in most (-)we would not have required it on our stay tea facilities would be a nice touch, they already have wifi and tv but tea/coffee making facilities would have added that extra, but i m being fussy (-)wifi would not connect was in room 13 it was very windy and something was banging in the roof area (-)bathroom needs refurbishment. no tea or coffee in room. free wifi didn't work. (-)the bathroom was very small, the wifi did not work in spite of me twice requesting a connection (-)room had a dated feel. wifi erratic

no secure parking. bar closed by 9.30 pm but bar next door open (just) (-)could only have a drink with food we had to go to the bar next door for a drink (-)the reception was closed we had to go to the bar next door for someone to give us our keys (*) central location has its own bar & restaurant, but many others within walking distance (+) the hotel has a good restaurant, and there is a tabac bar and cafe next door (+) if reception is closed you just pop to the next door bar and they sort you out (-)i would have liked some more facilities like a bar or lounge. (-)the bar next door was very expensive

the wifi was very disappointing. we were unable to use more than one device at a time.

drinks prices were more expensive than other bars , this meant we would go for a drink elsewhere and inevitably stay there to eat

it was quite shabby, the wifi didn t work, the room had no form of cooling

all as descript with very friendly host. bar closes at 6 pm.

(+) the little swimming pool being open all day was a real bonus (+)which was bright, modern and had a lovely view (4th floor looking over the back of hotel) the pool was also nice (+) covered swimming pool in spacious garden

i was delighted to go for a swim in the little hot tub pool - which although small, was nonetheless adequate

this makes parking a bit hit and miss

the location is fantastic and parking on site is very convenient.
