on arrival to grasmere village car park, i came to pay for the parking fee and noticed i had either forgotten or lost a considerable amount of cash i had in my

of space in the room but that’s the nature of old properties & fitting in bunk beds in the room kids so that was fine

parking can be a problem as the car park is small

in the evening, the staff were accommodating enough to grab us a drink despairing closing the bar an hour before

the bar shut at 9 but then that was probably a good thing!

both breakfast, the snacks in our room as a welcome present plus the bar snacks (and cocktails) were delicious (-) it was a shame that the restaurant was not serving evening meals- only bar meals (+) relaxing in the bar area on an evening , the furniture so comfy (+) restaurant is closed on mon/tues but they do offer bar snacks and there are several great restaurants in grasmere (+) lovely bar area (+) breakfast was very good, and we had delicious bar snacks when we arrived as the restaurant was closed (-) drinks in the bar are overpriced - 17 for a cocktail which is a shame because the bar area is a nice place to (-) adding chips to the bar menu would be a really easy win (-)of facilities at the bar - no blackcurrant juice, crisps, nuts, no diluting juice for children room above the kitchen
