management advised there had been issues with the laundry

dirty laundry left in the room by previous guest so room obviously not cleaned thoroughly

wifi was fairly poor up on the second floor, where i was situated

location is excellent and provides good value for money, clean well equipped rooms and a nice bar and

are experiencing wifi and a/c issues as they have just bought the property and it is an old historic building

no laundry service offered no fitness room coffee at breakfast was horrible

was so convenient for us very clean parking excellent staff very welcoming late check out

i heard many instances of guests getting local advice from staff whilst in the bar and around the hotel

room service very expensive

gym, was looking forward to rowing machine - no row machine possibly been in for repair

stifling hot 30 degrees inside and 15 outside, presumably sat over a laundry or shop

general manager made me feel at home and helped with a laundry issue

friday night had a promotion in the bar :-) breakfast was decent, good selection and

no eggs at breakfast. but the rest was delicious.

2 things i could possibly fault is the man that served us drinks at the bar was rather rude

reception and the outside door to room 12 unfortunately closely passes the parking space for the laundry collection

floor annexe side door means you walk past the kitchens and laundry area - the smell and decor are not always

because there was not a free table for breakfast & we had to wait a while the staff provided a coffee whilst

had room service and the triple cooked chips were spot on

we couldn t leave our dog in our room on his own so only option was room service for breakfast and dinner

plus didn't sleep very well as we were next to the laundry room and it there was a constant rumbling sound

wifi a bit weak

room service was an issue to be answered, arranged and took ages

the bath wasn t very clean.. no room service no menus in bedroom no inside smoking area

bar was advertised as 24 hr but closed just as we d arrived back to the hotel between 11-12 pm

not warned about lack of room service due to covid

did not use the breakfast or the wifi

so not somewhere to holiday with the wife and kids, perhaps

bed was comfy... room service good... location excellent

and unprofessional,only one lift (had to use stairs due to staff using public lift to take dirty laundry away

the buffet-style breakfast was very good - there were more than a few choices and the kids enjoyed that

kids sofa bed not comfortable

bed was a bit small for 2 and quite uncomfortable for the kids but fine for a one night stay

a nice cosy hotel, bar was warm and inviting

we found dirty laundry from the previous occupant under the chair indicating not effectively cleaned

nice position close to pubs restaurants. first time i have ever had a fireplace in my room

she was not in the kitchen or breakfast room

the period fireplace was full of dust and debris

only stayed for 1 night & kids used the sofa bed which wasn't great but fine for 1 night

king size bed was wonderful. breakfast was good. a walk in shower.... fantastic

pet dog was accepted and we could have taken breakfast back to the room as we could not leave dog

my favourite part of an english breakfast was not available - mushrooms.

lots of choice, would of liked a fresh fruit bar but for the price it was definitely value for money

the staff are very attentive they do not rush you during your meal the food is delicious bar well stocked nothing

the bar & restaurant could of been warmer it was abit cool in there

i think it would be good if breakfast was included in the price even if this meant it cost more.
