the location and parking were what initially took me there but i'll happily travel off my route to use it

all staff were friendly and helpful, very homely. ample car parking.

we had no wifi for our 3 night stay

no room service during the day so cups not washed or tea things replenished

staff kept the bar open longer for us

on line check in was efficient- gym was decent, breakfast was very good with a good choice of hot and cold food

pool lovely and warm, sauna lovely and could watch older kids swim

gym needs some upgrades, lots of broken machines

however staff made it up to us by giving us a voucher to go back for the spa which made up for it

requested a room service menu but was requested by staff not to order food until 19:30 hours which would assist

upon moving a chair to see the view/television we discovered nail clippings and rose petals with a mass of dust

if you'd had some kind of kids play area, it would have been the cherry on the cake but we can't have everything

was no wifi in our cottage and there were still crumbs present on the carpet from previous guests

the accommodation was exceptional. the location beautiful & the breakfast very good.

kitchen is great and really good communal areas

place is let down by the kitchen which does not cater for vegans and a very hard and uncomfortable

the fish but i overheard one of the waitresses mention that there was some sort of crisis in the kitchen and

didn t get chance to try the gym & spa facilities- maybe next time!

fabulous place , we played at the golf driving range few drinks and snacks

also the bar staff and drinks were very nice and the breakfast was lovely

kids loved a little night away , food was amazing and breakfast was fab loads to choose from

negative is the tv channels were a little dated and poor wifi connection but not really a necessity for me

was a++++, staff fantastic, grounds stunning, breakfast and evening meal was lovely and accomadated brilliantly

wifi was a bit of an issue, signal kept dropping in and out and everyone in the conference also

parking spaces are somewhat tight unless cars are parked correctly, which is rare.

there are obviously many events going on but parking spaces in front of the hotel should probably be reserved

quality hotel, a jewel in the centre of darlington. great decor, room, bar & staff.

a gem of a hotel , fabulous location quirky bar area , staff were amazing very friendly and welcoming and the

plenty of sockets to charge your tech, hair dryer, lots of mirrors & decent wifi so you could work from here
