historic inn on cotswolds hill/plateau with golf course adjacent shared with free-range cows

is extremely well situated and gives great access to local walks and hikes or even a game of golf if those are your things :-) the venue is very well laid out and has both a lovely outdoor

the outside bar was pleasant to visit

spa facilities were good, however i don't think we realised that the pool was unheated till we got there

beautiful bedroom (lovely garden view), restaurant, lounge, bar etc

outdoor pool could have been in operation, but we were only there for one night so it wasn't a big deal

make sure you have time to make use of the wonderful sauna, pool and spa and check yourself in for a massage as well

it has no spa facilities, only in-room massages and a unheated plunge pool but it was great for pool-based lounging and the occasional cold dip on a hot day

there is a golf course just outside the property and nearby villages are picturesque

highly recommend staying here and bring your golf clubs for a swift 9 holes outside the front door

don't play golf but if you did you could roll out of bed 20 yards and you are on the first tee

to it as my son attempts to qualify for the open through regional qualifying at minchinhampton golf club
