close to the golf course

wifi, in our room at least, was poor to non existent

we requested an early check in and had an email to confirm but when we arrived it was not on the booking

parking, check-in, room, restaurant, breakfast, check-out, all great

they should be more transparent eg an £8 breakfast became £12

this enough - every member of staff we encountered from the hotel reception, restaurant staff and bar staff were all so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond without batting an eyelid,

booked 2 bedrooms for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 14) the bedrooms were very comfortable and a good size for the price

very accommodating in the bar in the evening

the hotel was dog friendly and able to come into the bar area

read reviews that kids got milk and

breakfast was fab room was spacious the bar was great to but could of been open longer that 11pm

plenty of parking, lovely pool and spa facilities

from reception to the room, and restaurant and spa, pool, it was an excellent break.

very convenient to the golf course we were playing with plenty of room around the hotel

breakfast on the second morning was quite poor

it was a mile to the mere golf course so perfect location

if i have to comment negatively i'd say net in the lodge kitchen needs freshening or changing ..

good wifi signal nice breakfast although as delivered to room it was a little

moved into she bar for our desserts which was warmer

coffee & tea sachets with the usual kettle, these days you expect expresso coffee machines in the kitchen

had a g&t in the bar shortly after my arrival

thing about the crown is the staff, they couldn t be more helpful carrying bags and organising parking always with a smile

the food, we wanted an early night so got room service for dinner and food was bland

wifi worked in most areas but sometimes the wifi from the cafe next door (cafe nero) gave a (-)the wifi got turned off after a certain time. noisy drunks in the street (-) there was a difficulty accessing/ maintaining wifi for more than a minute in all the areas i tried of this old building (which the hotel is (-)wifi connection could have been better (+) excellent wifi (-) wifi not advertised as being available by staff (-) the tv was very basic and the wifi flakey (-)non existent wifi. bed linen torn and old. no heating hot water takes long to generate. (-) asked about wifi and was given a snappy reply

it would have been even better if was a golf course

pool and spa made it worth the money compared to similar hotels like another local one on a golf course i've stayed at on previous trips

when we asked for a late check out the staff we're very obliging

the fact we got a good deal and was able to request late check out for £15 for a whole two hours later

breakfast was of high standard very enjoyable and very filling ,the room was excellent very clean

went out room after breakfast and the corridor was full of towels/bedding on the floor next to each room which was a

food in the pub was very good in the evening and the breakfast was superb too

it s in the middle of a beautiful golf course and therefore it s so quiet and tranquil
