the bar and restaurant serves lovely food and the quiz night when we stayed was very good

my welcome from both the landlord and his bar manager could not have been better - and that great service continued throughout

downstairs has a lovely bar with a log fire, frequented by locals, amazing for a good natter

turned up, the staff were so friendly, the locals in the bar equally as friendly

the room was clean and comfortable and you could access the accommodation either through the bar when it was open or through an external door at other times which was very convenient

i used the gym in the morning that has all that you need for a quick work out ( mostly cardio equipment, one (-)room was a little small, and the gym is a separate building (-) gym was adequate, so don't expect too much, fine for a workout (-)gym could be in better condition but it served my needs so certainly nothing major and in no way (+)really good size room. great views. small gym was a bonus. (-)the gym was a bit small but all eqt working (-)no gym (-)a steam room and sauna would be a great addition. near the gym area (-)gym condition not kept to standard of rest of hotel, equipment visibly dirty and treadmill rusted
