the only thing i would say is where you have breakfast, it is very dark

facilities were older but well cared for, welcoming, clean, comfortable, good wifi, plenty of parking and close to many sites

every member of staff, from reception to restaurant and bar to the handyman, mike, who helped us fix our bike rack - they were all so friendly and helpful

they accommodated an early breakfast as we were travelling to the open golf

rooms were expensive for what they were, possibly due to the fact that we stayed during the open golf

hotel was not worth price paid, which was likely inflated due to the open golf at troon

within minutes of our arrival we were all chatting in the bar with some friendly locals

golf course right across the road , and that's it . still , helensburgh only minutes away .

the inn is situated in the heart of the village opposite the golf club and there is several grocery and paper shops a short walk away

perfect location for the golf course. breakfast was fabulous.

stay at cardross we were staying for a wedding over at the golf club

at the reception was the best thing of the stay, really nice and wanted to share with us the best golf courses in the area

booked taxis etc for us and gave us an early check in to allow for getting ready for the wedding we were

happy with ibis budget hotel for the price we paid for our 2 night stay while attending the open golf 2024 at royal troon

parking wasn't super easy but you can find on street parking if you look for it.

parking is free and extremely easy to find, either beside the hotel or roadside

wifi in the hotel was not properly working, but the

staff, easy to park, clean and modern, near to pollock golf course and country park

we didn't have dinner as we were going to be late and there was no availability but we had breakfast which was well presented, fresh melon, blackberries, grapefruit pomegranate and passion

the breakfast was simply amazing

no menu in rooms incase you wanted to order room service

also the cost of the stay was excessive due entirely of the golf in troon being on

price was inflated due to the open golf being on at troon.

i stayed during the open and couldn t watch the golf

had a large amount of luggage as we were travelling on an extended trip with golf clubs etc

the breakfast selection was fabulous and we wasn't rushed when the dining service ended at 11am & 10am

kids loved the pancake machine

spacious room, excellent wi-fi, excellent air conditioning, elevator, good lighting, mini bar included in the room cost, varied and tasty

they have gym too which is hardly used

efficient and great staff , appreciated the late check out
