my welcome from both the landlord and his bar manager could not have been better - and that great service
so friendly and welcoming i have to particularly thank richard who kindly took us to the local golf club where
downstairs has a lovely bar with a log fire, frequented by locals, amazing for a good natter

the quality of the food served on kids menu was top notch
out was at 1030 so we were only able to use the pool for a short while in the evening before the kids were asked

you could end up parking your car a fair distance away - not good with a wife and two tired young kids for
we were standing in the middle of the restaurant with loads of luggage, 2 kids, waiting in the queue whilst
private parking was good though the entrance to it is narrow and some may find it a challenge

on sunday the kids were disappointed because there were no pancake bags for the pancake machine

the first night was very very noisey and the kids were running up and down the corridor

bar has a fantastic atmosphere and very much a good pub
tasty breakfast, clean rooms and polite staff.
the guy who also works behind the bar i found very awkward and not so easy to talk to compared to the lady
lift, so bear that in mind as there's steps in bar area as well as stairs to the rooms

it was right next to a play area behind the pub which was great for the kids
opened the room and it hadn't been cleaned - went back to reception, taken to a different rooms, kids were
travelled for business, but assume it will be good if you travel with kids, nice playground available
due to the room being a basement room and the weather was very raining, but not great for little kids to be

you will need a car and 'reserved' parking would be an improvement as the parking next to the hotel fills with

we eventually got refunded having to leave and make a 4 hour drive home in the night with two kids after already
the whole room felt like a sealed box of stale air, and my young kids immediately started reacting
