we stayed with our kids and they found it exciting to sleep in a castle
first i was put off by the lack of any wifi
i was pleased the bar tender had been there 42 years and had likely been there when i was there before

the hotel was good for me, old and with character, but traveling with kids, ages 11 and 15 they were difficult
it is a kids friendly hotel, with an amazing pool and garden with a gazeboo
a lovely garden and pool area, excellent breakfast, superb location at the edge of the forest overlooking
breakfast was great, very complete and tasty
a longish day travelling, it was relaxing and refreshing to have a swim in the pool

but there is what looks like a large reception desk on the ground floor when you walk in from the parking lot
there is a huge parking lot and a tesla charging station with at least 8 charging points
it looks like you should be able to access via either the ground floor or 1st floor through the bar
facilities are good, having both a bar and restaurant on site, making it a very good overnight stop

over priced especialy 50 euro extra a day for my kids bed
there could be more facilities for kids (a swing and a slide, some games in the kids corner)
we would have picked a different hotel with an indoor pool for the kids
4 the restrained, timeless music provided the perfect backdground for the breakfast
bar fridge would have been good in an hotel of this standard

hotel had a nice playground, paddle boats, and its forest/grounds so it was great for kids
outdoor swimming pool was a bonus, as was free parking and breakfast
enjoyed the thermal pool- very relaxing after a round of golf
booked this hotel specifically to use the spa facilities, but upon arrival, i found out the spa was closed

for some people it does mean the area is not very nice to walk around in the evening with kids or even alone
the wifi was extremely unstable in our room. in other parts of the hotel it was ok.

one of the kids' beds was very uncomfortable, with a very bad spring mattress
