friendly staff, fabulous bar atmosphere/food/drinks, great location, spacious rooms. brilliant.

everyone helps as much as possible, locals use the bar lovely atmosphere

here- bar food menu perhaps a little limited but i had eaten earlier so did not try it and my stay was

just that the bar closed at 22:50hrs. nothing else

the entrance and reception/ bar is light and comfortable and welcoming

laid up a table in the bar so we could eat breakfast and dinner without having to leave him in the room

a few more comfy chairs in the bar area would be nice

that said, i thoroughly enjoyed the glasses of sauvignon i ordered at the bar and took to my room

the bar was well stocked and the locals were friendly you didn t feel like outsiders

room was exceptional and very comfortable with lovely decor and facilities and the bar areas and dining rooms were comfortable with log fires

great breakfast and lots of choices, not your average full english or cereal

the food was absolutely awesome both nights and breakfast was great too

breakfast was good plenty of choice along with yogurts and fruit

the breakfast was amazing you couldn't ask for any more

wifi wasnt working.... but they did admit it was new the signal may have been playing up

steps from the chalets to the bar although we did appreciate the signs that said to check in before carrying your luggage down

the bar and restaurant was very good and breakfast was lovely with a good choice

the hotel is very clean, it has a bar and a restaurant (we didnt use) it has a beautiful garden which we had a couple of drinks in

the bar area is very dated although warm & cosy! def needs an upgrade

the hotel has a substantial paying car park but guests must secure a complimentary parking ticket and display

view room and all it was, was just a view of an overgrown field and also the price's at the bar were very inconsistent

right on the river and easy walking distance to restaurants, pubs, cafes, butterfly farm, crazy golf, canoeing and walking

small dog in our group (he stayed at the royal lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him

the food was exceptional both in the evening and at breakfast

the place is beautiful, food was great and drinks at the bar were not overpriced

a while to get anything other than normal tv to load and phone signal is poor but you get free wifi which for the most part works well

room service didn't come to the room til half 12 and they didn't take out used towels from the bath

little villa building with very clean well equipped rooms, communal kitchen was great and the grounds are beautiful

a lounge bar would be a bonus

plenty of takeaways near by and room service available from local pub

there was free wifi available throughout the hote which meant that the lack of signal was not a problem

room service was good however food slightly cold

room service is prompt and the staff are always friendly and professional

to get to with plenty of parking

we had room service and it was quick and really tasty
