you'd expect the walls to be paper thin, but we couldn't hear the screaming kids in the room next to us (that we could hear from the hallway before we stepped into our room (+)on the back porch with mount washington (among others) looming above us; there were fire pits and kids running and playing and it was just fabulous (-) we were also surprised there weren't more activities for young kids beyond the pool, arcade and carriage rides (+) history, views, kids amenities and grandeur (-) the long corridors invite running from kids (+) christmas decoration was great and there were a lot of kids activities offered (+) there were no pancakes at the buffet station so she went in the kitchen and it made for our kids (-)of the year (christmas school vacation) the lounge areas were overcrowded at times and all the kids activities (there were many) were not of interest to us (+)kids arcade (for wet days), size of lobby, mount washington views from bedroom (and most dining (-) value of dinner at main dining room ($450 for two adults, two kids
