a bit dated, short staffed poor woman behind the bar was running to cover many different duties

wifi for kids upstairs maybe?

the staff were really friendly and accomodating making a fuss of both the kids and the dog

the large family room had a double and two singles and the kids liked their separate space

the atmosphere was very good with lots of customers in the bar and restaurant

it was no problem to cook an excellent breakfast earlier than advertised to start a long day

we visited the bar, and the locals were so accommodating and friendly that we visited the bar twice in our

lovely , helpful multi task lady that checked us in who was also bar tender ,cook and house

planned for breakfast in bed but the hotel didn’t take the order, so we had to rush around to get down stairs

breakfast good although bacon was over cooked and broke into pieces when tried to cut

clearer signs of where the dogs are allowed in the bar area, there is a sign as you come in the door but i didn't notice it

i prefer to have a table to myself at breakfast that said i enjoyed the whole experience

the breakfast was good and having 3 fussy kids the host had no problem cooking to individual choices

hotel is a large and elegant georgian country house in acres of woodland and a golf course

we rang room service a number of times with no answer and service was slow in bar/restaurants

very long day and too tired to walk outside to the on-site pub so i ate from the bar

excellent bar meal and good breakfast

great use of the space, it had a living area, bedroom with en suite and a small kitchen area

however, with the well equipped kitchenette in each room, this isn't a major issue, as you could bring in snacks etc

it's has everything you could need including a little kitchen area

we stayed in the garden room,a self contained basement room with kitchenette, small lounge, dining table and a large very comfortable bedroom

we also had a small sitting room with a bed settee and kitchen area with fridge ,microwave ,toaster
