the pool was amazing and the meal we had at the hotel a very high standard

only thing that was a slight draw back were the changes to booking in to the swimming pool due to covid

perfect for where i was going had a bar (did have draft pumps but only sold drinks out of cans) pool

the staff were nice and the food tasty. the bar was spacious with a pool table and tv.

arriving back at around 5 pm on our second day we found the bar closed and no obvious means of ingress to the hotel

food is to die for, kids love the pool and the dog loved his walkies

approach uphill to the hotel and wider complex of cottages, the fitness suite, spa and swimming pool

the pool and spa area is in need of renovation - i believe these are already planned for future

grand hotel, has indoor pool & gym, but i didn't get chance to use these, maybe in my next stay

wifi / phone signal (ee) was not great (-)there was no wifi available and there were a few electrical issues. (+)free wifi was of good quality and the underrated floor in the bathroom was a nice touch. (-)better wifi access when they have large events. nice to have smart tvs. (-)nothing to dislike really although the wifi was a little flaky. (+)really - really - nice place but wifi was really flakey. (-)only thing that could be improved room wise in my opinion would be the wifi connectivity in the room and perhaps the addition of a smart tv and a bluetooth speaker (-) the free wifi was very poor, did not connect well and was slow (-)couldn t get reliable access to the wifi and when asking staff about it was told quite flatly that it was working - not for me it (-) wifi wasn t secured and very rarely stayed connected, we had no data signal or wifi in our

beautiful setting in jesmond dene - very relaxing . room was lovely and breakfast superb.
