stayed at smithaleigh for many years now but didn’t realise they had taken the bar and restaurant away and made them into flats so no breakfast or evening

wifi was great

especially the tasting menu in the acleaf, staff always had a smiley face and keen to help, the spa was wonderful and never seemed to be too busy even though the hotel was full

seeing as we didn t use anything from the mini bar or room service i feel like the money should have been returned quicker

as for tom the barman what a talent

free ev charging was a bonus (although i suspect it won't be free for much longer as they are installing (-)ev charger didn't work. (+) the grounds and building are superb - the spa is great, ev charging points at a good price as well

on site food other than breakfast, they have s 5 star rating but non of the people cookinv breakfast had a hat or unifirm

very near astor house so convenient if you're dropping off one of your kids for uni

facilities were great and we were transported to the med with great british views from the pool or terrace and garden areas

the food and spa itself were amazing and i couldn't fault a single thing
