reception staff friendly but failed to send me email re changes to service due to covid - no room service for whole week and no provision made for us to clean bath, sink etc

good, but added to an already quite expensive stay, so we made use of our own well equipped kitchen in the cottage after

the first two days we had breakfast in the bar area,it was a bit busy as they had a shooting team there

the beer selection in the bar is good and the wolf ale is stronger than you may think

no onsite parking so finding a long term parking spot in hexham can be a bit challenging.

i had a large party for lunch and they easily accomodated us all even with kids and a dog in tow
