the room we were given due to early check in did not have a great garden view

beach out front is for strong swimmers only but there is a lovely little sheltered cove for kids a short walk away

unfortunately it also comes with the noise of the bar and restaurant until around 10:30 so you can't leave the door on the lanai open to listen to

to two of the best beaches on kauai (one literally on either side of the hotel), has a lovely pool and a great restaurant and is much, much smaller than the mega-resorts like the hyatt and (-)got to be at the pool at the right time to secure a lounge chair (-)poolside drinks were a little pricey. (+)fantastic hotel. friendly staff. terrific restaurant. right on the beach and a great pool. the villa side has a garden pool that is nice but there is not a bar on the villa side so you have to go to the resort side for drinks and food
