very historic but modern cosy bar area friendly staff

we arrived and upon check in we were upgraded rooms at no extra cost, i enquired about a late check out and we were also given this for no extra cost

your breakfast staff were excellent along with your bar staff and if we come back to ilfracombe, we will definitely stay at the britannia again

it got a bit too hot and the fans provided helped a bit, but were not enough especially for the kids room

the second night we had the same seating problem, they would not let us into the extended bar area, stating it was laid up for breakfast the following morning (again, 6pm at night)
