staying for a golf weekend

in addition, there's a bar next door to the accomodation with friendly staff frequented by welcoming locals enjoying the

lovely clean, welcoming spacious rooms. staff were lovely and the bar was a lovely added extra.

what to expect… from our room you could heard music/people shouting over the music from the bar (or maybe the function room) downstairs

there was a little bit of down stairs noise from the bar but i wasn't going to be there and by the time i got back from the function i was attending the

we were playing golf in dumfries and galloway and the hotel is well located to act as a base for a number of top

by car, and you need a car to visit the local towns, beaches and castles, although there is a golf course right next to the hotel

the range and quality of food including gluten free options on the menu for breakfast and evening meal was excellent the room was spacious with beautiful matching furniture

they have a great bar and the food was delicious

the 25th january robert burns birthday and we had a swim in the afternoon in the leisure centre pool it was really good

just lacked one or two kitchen implements and shampoo.

wifi had a choice of 3 networks, worked fantastic

t my room was absolutely fine with good bed, shower, tv, kitchen area

hot water, a comfortable walk to town, was able to do laundry there, the housekeeper was very sweet

wifi code didnt work

nav took us to edinburgh road however it did not take us to our destination if you pull into the golf club, turn around and go back to the small roundabout, take the first left and rivendell is 2

know we're to eat or local shop newsagents to buy a sandwich or drink , there is a local golf club which i think they should hook up and able to

location for our annual golf dinner at the dumfries and county golf club staff were very friendly

it is also very close to a golf course which i plan to play in the future

ideally placed for dumfries golf club - just 200-300 yards away

detail - the grass needed cutting in the back of the cottage, my dog didn't mind but people with kids might

no resident bar but not a complaint as the bar was a work in progress during our stay

total experience was excellent, grounds peaceful, spa very good, house comfy

the bar was a lovely place to relax before and after dinner

sadly a staff member was sick so could not have an arranged spa treatment.
