i would have liked a swim if the pool had been a bit bigger and the water less cold

there was a daily cleaning service, laundry service available plus filtered water and coffee provided to guests free of charge

great location, rooms, staff, wifi, gym, pool, working room. this place has it all!

if you wish, the hotel also offers a quiet working place, and activities around gym, yoga, ice baths … finally, the manager and the staff are so warm welcoming

also, the perro surfero has a nice little gym, a pool, a well appointed communal kitchen, coffee provided, honor system kombucha and very

very beautiful pool and landscape

the design of the gardens, pool, and communal areas was exceptional

place to hang out, the plunge pool was nice in the heat

the pool is small, more for a dunking than to swim laps

the water of the pool should be hotter and you should open a bar in your rooftop it would be great

are almost finished with construction on a rooftop kitchen & bar area

the hotel is a compound of small buildings and the pool on the edge of town, looking out over palms and fruit trees, with the whole town walkable from

the kiddos enjoyed the pool so much and liked being surrounded by all the greenery this place has to offer

the only thing that would make this place more comfortable is cocktails by the pool!

it worked great on the side of the building and the parking lot

four nightly rentals but only two on site parking spots during our stay

the location is great, walking distance to town and plenty of parking on-site

owner was very helpful with getting me on wifi

kids (age 10 and 12) and i loved the room and the grounds

the breakfast was divine - super healthy yogurt, granola, avocado toast, hardboiled eggs, fresh fruit

the pool was refreshing and the walk up bar made it even better

tasty and healthy breakfast included every day, although somewhat limited choices

we were thrilled to learn that we could hop on a golf cart and use the pool/kayaks/have breakfast at their neighboring hotel at the bottom of the hill (la poza), but just

the shared palapa and pool area adds a nice public space

everything about our unit/stay at villas la mar -- accommodations were super spacious/clean, and kitchen had everything we could have wanted for several family meals we prepared during our stay

location of the breakfast in the gardens was magical-breakfast was varied.

minor complaint is that the in-house bar shuts just before 10 pm, which feels a bit early if you re wanting to enjoy a glass of wine

room is so so .. no gym, small pool, construction environment, inefficient staff

although because of covid few things are still in progress like umbrellas/shade by the pool but i’m sure by the time we’ll return they will be taking care of

the hotel’s form is great, but function has issues:: (i) there is no shower for the pool area

plopping fans right in front of you, letting you play your own music at the pool, accommodating late check out - this crew works so darn hard to give you the ultimate experience
