big room. perfect for one adult and 2 kids (ages 7 and 13) ensuite. looks recently refurbished.

needs updated other guests had zero respect for family's with kids staying being loud, slamming doors, running
clean accommodation, with excellent meals (both breakfast & evening) set in a beautiful location

had the best night in the bar meeting the locals

breakfast to start each day was delicious and with a beautiful view of the gardens

dinner menu had a varied choice plus kids menu
the woods next to it are great for hiking and the farm park nearby is fun for kids of all age
bar and restaurant were fab and staff could not have been nicer
couldn't locate the wifi code in the room and had difficulty in connecting when a code was acquired from reception

i tried to have a shower in the evening, water was lukewarm (the kids were asleep so i didn't raise it at the
kids in the sofa bed, slept well, many pillows to help make them extra comfortable
lift was a little clunky and scared the kids at one point
ideal location, games and books in the small bar great to entertain the kids.
dinner and breakfast, eventually decided to have in the hotel, only informed in the restaurant kids eat free

nice to have good hot water but drawback was it's scalding hot - bit unsafe for some people or kids

single beds were really squeaky every time kids rolled over or moved in the bed and the mattresses and pillows
the kids enjoy the jacuzzi bath was the perfect way to end the day

nice grounds to go for a walk and small kids play area is useful

mainly adult guests with dogs, no kids
detail - the grass needed cutting in the back of the cottage, my dog didn't mind but people with kids might
so peaceful and plenty of lovely walks and adventures exploring for the kids
amazing old country retreat in gorgeous surrounds. the kids loved splashing down in the river.
we also walked by the river and kids had fun

the staff were very friendly, the hotel was ideal for us as an older couple (kids now old enough to leave)
at the property we were disappointed with the overall appearance, in particular the driveway and parking
everything was excellent. dinner, breakfast, the room, the countryside around. just great.
staff were great especially dora who served us breakfast which was exceptional
we then had a wonderful dinner and a drink in the bar before we retired for the evening
