good to have early check in at 2pm, gave us time to explore the very interesting lead museum in the neighbouring

great evening meal in the bar and lovely homecooked, generous size breakfast and continental choice

dogs with us who were treated like royalty, a welcome basket especially for them, dinner in the bar and an all important sausage for breakfast

warm welcome by rab and rachel the pint sat on the bar ready for me, the food is so filling and 100% ok (the ribs 300%) the breakfast is so filling

i was able to arrange early check in time to suit my travel/stay requirements for working shifts away from home

perfect for a night stop over. quiet and comfortable. late check out for extra £10.

we were staying to attend a wedding in dumfries and the owners were accommodating in allowing us early check in to ensure we had time to get ready which we really appreciated

the clean ending staff, bar staff, and cooking staff did an excellent job

door was phenomenal from a full cooked breakfast to cereal to fruit juices catered for my fussy kids and i enjoyed the full breakfast, i was full all day

space we had as a family and the bath was a hit with the kids

staff were absolutely amazing and got our vroom ready early to allow us and early check in and to allow us to get changed for the wedding

room was well designed, spacious, clean, bed comfortable and good wifi

i tried to have a shower in the evening, water was lukewarm (the kids were asleep so i didn't raise it at the time)

,they were hard and had formed a skin which you had to cut into and that knocked me off eating my breakfast, other than that everything else was good

went out way to allow us early check in so we could get organised for a wedding

, plenty of space outside to have a drink, and a lovely wooden play area off to the side for kids
