the breakfast was terrific and the views from the restaurant and the bar are absolutely stunning

and sit on the rope swing in the lower part of the garden or go and see the chickens in the kitchen gardens

(the fresh eggs from the hens in the kitchen gardens were much appreciated) we also appreciated the upgraded room we were given

com says there is a shuttle bus every day every hour to and from st andrews from 10am to 10pm - it's a minor thing, but

also loved the fact that they run a free shuttle bus into st andrews, this was really useful

thing during our stay was in the morning, we had purchased an extra room package that allowed a later check-out of 1pm, with a choice of house wine, and chocolates, and rose petals on the bed

rooms are very clean and comfortable and the bar area is really nice and relaxing

the gym, swimming pool (kids can only get in the pool from 9-11 am and then 2:00- 6:30 pm but adults don’t need to book

were supposed to have an early check in for midday (using our genius points) but we didn't get in until 1pm

the staff accommodated an early check in when we arrived for our overnight stay

privacy was at peek from the staff and they allowed us a late check out

the early check in that i was offered. the location was perfect. and it was clean and modern.

every was amazing, kids loved the stay.

kids missed the biscuits with all tea/coffee bits n bobs

they facilated an early check in and late check out with no fuss

before closing after a delayed flight, and we were still warmly welcomed and they even had the bar available for a drink

pool/spa is open to outside membership which means it s often too busy for hotel guests

didn't have any hand soap at the basin also taps weren't very clean there was no kids pack available as

pool was cold again and the pool area does need cleaned a bit more

rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable

shower was too hot, especially for kids

our dog was allowed to join us in the lounge bar which made our stay a lot easier

the regulars in the bar made us feel welcome and offered travel tips
