when we booked in they gave us all a wee sweet cone, and a complementary drink at the bar for each of us

a bustling bar on the ground floor may result in a slight hangover, an exceptional scottish breakfast washed

the room size was great; the lounge bar comfortable and well appointed; the dining room was elegant and staff were attentive

certain guests using mobile phones loudly in the bar area. causing us to move to another seat.

think the bar itself, on first arrival, looks a bit scruffy and down at heel

we found the staff very friendly and the communal lounge off the bar was a nice place to relax and chat both before and after our meal

the lounge was comfortable too and the proprietor was behind the bar chatting and bringing everyone together for evening drinks

and helpfulness of staff, wonderful breakfasts, nice selection of beers and comfortable lounge / bar area

was exactly what i needed as my base for a couple of nights whilst in the area playing golf

breakfast was to the same standard, excellent scrambled eggs

nothing not to like as whatever the bar etc didn't have the staff would go out their way to get it for you

a shame the bar wasn't open and there was no food available but really close to town centre where we found a

full size snooker table and wee bar was a added bonus

selecting the restaurant over the bar, for my evening meal, i immediately regretted my decision on discovering the antarctic air

of parking, neat gardens, receptionist was helpful, room was clean, food was good, bar was well stocked

bar does not sell draught beer, only lager. bar ran out of draught lager late on in night
