it when we decided it was too hot to stay at the hotel in elvas we had booked and thought a rural pool set up would be better

suite with a livingroom (fireplace, 4m+ room height, comfortable couches), kitchenette, dressing room, bedroom and bathroom (+)the well equipped kitchen allows a good mix of self-catering or restaurant dining and we enjoy the extra space (-) a tip to let the kitchen know beforehand not to over salt your dishes (-)view of the excellent kitchen, we were surprised and very disappointed to find that it was closed on one evening (+) we had our private little house with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom (-)from the inter-leading self-closing kitchen-dining room door that clattered and banged incessantly during meals as waiters passed (-)aware that to eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant requires 2 hour notice to the kitchen to prepare the food (-)kitchen in the suite was large and easy to use, but lacked some essential items and was not well (-)large dogs. coming to the table when we were eating and wandering in and out of the kitchen

when we asked to pay the meal, the waiter asked to pay at the bar that was located next to the lobby

at 40c the pool area was very popular no space for a quite coffee away from the heat and no bar for pre and post

is beautiful, the staff super-friendly, the breakfast delicious, the location superb and the pool and gardens are very well maintained

we actually used one of the house sitting rooms as the wifi connection in the apartment was poor

it is an outstanding property with a beautiful private garden and swimming pool

on street parking outside the hotel but this wasn’t really a problem
