excellent area and close to friends staying in down river rv park

off the blue ridge parkway and close to town but you would never know it the cooked to order breakfast was awesome

food ordered off the bar menu was unacceptable

finishes are nice, bed is very comfortable, we were in a villa with a private kitchen and it was great, beautiful grounds

only complaint was the lack of utensils and cookware for the kitchen

couple of the bar staff was very rude the second night. first night was great.

we enjoyed breakfast two mornings in the embers restaurant and both the service and food were comforting and

we enjoyed a drink at the bar and a fantastic dinner at the restaurant

was expecting a king room with spa bath and got the king bed but regular tub with one jet

better fruit. softer and less frozen. no clock in room. larger tv. no laundry bag

loved it all- kids loved the pool

we love the gym, the pool and free breakfast in the morning

for instance, we had to go to a completely other building to use the laundry

staff very nice...bedroom and kitchen clean ..location great!

kitchen staff seemed a little frazzled as they ran the front desk as well

were cobwebs on the ceiling and ants in the kitchenette

don t book rooms on the 2nd floor that look out to the parking area, besides not being renovated the view is unpleasant and offers no privacy unless you

view and specified not on the 1st floor and you see the lake but with a pretty large view of the parking lot, 2nd and 3rd floor might be slightly better, but 2nd floor rooms have not been updated

good location for surrounding activities. helpful staff. pool was nice.

we did see deer in the property and the kids really enjoyed that, but that's not exclusive to the resort

my room was actually a small apartment, full living room with gas fireplace, dining area and a kitchen that came fully equipped

killed a full grown roach and 4 smaller roaches at midnight on the kitchen countertop.
