we had adjoining rooms with our kids and it worked out perfectly

unfortunately we didn t have a chance to use the spa or pool which may have enhanced our experience

in the evenings we availed ourselves of the sauna facilities followed by a spa

we wanted to base in bayeaux and have easy parking since we were going to be in and out

restored chateau on lovely grounds- pool, garden, sauna, massage, fitness course, great kitchen

there is a cozy, nicely decorated bar which they opened for a few of us guests

much liked that the hotel had parking and was within easy walking distance of the centre of bayeux

old building, lots of character but new wing has very large, comfortable rooms with great parking

free wifi connection was hopeless, kept losing it for no real reason so had to keep putting in the code,

we had a good dinner in a nearby village - fine dining, including for the kids

building itself is beautiful the room was big and there was plenty of space, not charging for kids beds is also a plus, the location is quite good and local to some lovely restaurants

the owner is extremely genuine in his hospitality and our kids loved the trampoline and activities he had set up

too bad the pool wasn t filled but at the same time kids found plenty to do outdoors which turned out just fine

great location for kids as the grounds are extensive and we loved giving apples to the horses / donkey and feeding the

bit noisy from bar next door, but was a saturday so no probs

poor service as a result with fingers writing down the orders, diners going to bar for drinks and refills etc

breakfast was a nice surprise because the room service menu was very basic

did not use the restaurant, however we did use the bar and the night porter / bar lady was outstandingly helpful, and very nice - there was an issue
