historic building, bar on site, excellent breakfast, elevator

we had a nightcap in the bar and chose irish/liqueur coffees

bar area was small and cosy with a log fire

stay staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, made very welcome in bar for a nightcap unlike some hotels who make you feel a nuisance

we also enjoyed a nice drink and some snacks in the bar area

excellent breakfast, had evening meal in bar again food and service excellent.

the breakfast was excellent and meals in the bar just what wanted

half the room in darkness, weird kitchen light

both the snug bar and the oak panelled dining room were pleasant places to eat

the beer was lovely in the bar too, with best and solstice available on tap from the local three tuns brewery

specifically, bar and restaurant staff were all brilliant; and the food was first-rate

only thing which is not the hotels fault, was the noisy young kids running around and shouting at 2am in the

room service , cleanliness, spacious room

bed was comfy. ev charging worked ok.

bar menu isn't great. gym is small, not much in there.

hotel had plenty of free parking, easy check in, staff were attentive, friendly & helpful

golf range shut at 6pm which was a shame

tired but actually very well equipped hotel with enormous room - good wifi - lots of hot water and friendly helpful

and the pool - fantastic

wifi in the annex kept dropping out, which was a pain, but didn t detract from a great

we couldn t connect to the wifi

didn't realize how popular the bar and garden was, which is open to non-residents
