the cost, and if i had stayed for two nights i would have enjoyed a more relaxed a la carte or bar menu

ground floor, the real wow factor is on the upper floor - a massive open plan space featuring a pool table at one end while the other is given over to a home cinema system - projector and sound

pool was out of use due to refurb but other facilities were available

pool changing area was cold water for shower in room difficult to control kept going freezing then

pool could close later, as if you need to do your check in after 2pm and the pool closes at 5pm

loved the bar & restaurant, very nice and funny staff

the bartender at the bar is amazing, he offered a great whiskey

the living / common spaces were gorgeous and spacious. the outdoor spa area is a bonus.

food and staff were fantastic and were really nice to us and the kids

the hidden spa is worth booking (i’d recommend around sunset)

the kitchen is filled with snacks, refreshments and ready made foods in case one prefers a night in

the cozy fireplace and fully stocked kitchen as well as the luxurious bed and linens

laundry in the lodge was exactly what we needed mid-trip to wash, relax, drink, and reset ourselves

waterfront, pool sauna, well appointed, very lovely, everything, dinner was great, especially mussels

bed was large & spacious and very comfortable, overall the facilities including the pool were excellent

the view from our room was possibly the best part. my children also loved the pool.
