stayed at the stones hotel because it was literally across the road from the highpost golf club of which i had a national competition for a week

experience, was opening the curtains in the morning when i was expecting a bit of the view of the golf course to find rather un- attractive buildings, especially as i had asked for an upgraded room

there is nothing around the hotel other than a golf course and gas station

ideal for location based on our need to be close to high post golf

and a golf course adjacent which, when it’s wintry and empty, means that non golfers like me can do

nothing … i didn’t even mind the sight of golfers setting out in driving rain.

grounds were beautiful not much for kids to do which was a disappointment

(-) room service felt half complete

but for next time i’ll make sure i book a room with bath as shower is very small to wash kids without mess
