not much to the breakfast

the breakfast was weak.

standard hotel breakfast with home made waffles. pretty nice way to start your day.

we had to go buy an air matress for our kids to sleep on

small gym and pool - need some updates and modernisation

a dozen plus screaming kids in swimming pool for hours made it hard to get to sleep early for our 4 am wake up

kids waking us up at 2am

we sat outside our room on the catwalk and enjoyed a drink while watching our kids play in the pool

kids were screaming until all hours in the dome/pool

smelled like weed, our bathroom light wouldn't stay on, my kids bathed in the dark, myself and my child woke up

they got very rude with our kids and when i complained their adult was watching them through the window seated

and at check in, we were at the end of a long trip, the kids needed to use the restroom and i didn't have the

the pool was drained so kids couldn't go swimming

smelled marijuana inside and outside very strongly and that was as a problem since we had our kids with us

we also heard kids running around the building all hours of the night in our hallway upstairs in the stairs

great bed. excellent kitchen. very close to principal park. you can easily walk with kids.

was freezing cold (kids and i couldn t swim for longer than 10 minutes because it was so cold), and the jacuzzi

the room and kitchen!

my kids and i thought the elevator wasn't working

parking was difficult, pretty pricey, no breakfast unless you paid $14 per person.

breakfast was excellent

located in east village, walking distance to the capital and many local restaurants and bars

my only issue was upon returning to my room late at night from the bar upstairs there was a cockroach crawling

we were traveling with kids so having separate rooms was not ideal but at least we had rooms to stay in

rooms would be perfect for coming back for a weekend getaway with the kids but the pool looked pretty small and

very disappointed that a large part of the stay our kids looked forward to didn't

great hotel for older patrons but with small kids not the best fit

nice big suite and very good breakfast buffet. kids loved it.

and there were kids running the halls all day/night that seemed to lack parental supervision

kids running around the floor like it was a race track at midnight

the room was great for my family with the bedroom separated from the family room, the kids could nap and we

due to covid i havent experienced breakfast or the pool, which is understandable

in my shower left a little something to be desired, and the second of two milk cartons i had at breakfast tasted

spa temp was cooler the second night.

we loved that this hotel is pet friendly

there was a guest laundry room which was very convenient, and the breakfast was great

unloading our car with kids was a bit tricky.

quite no kids all over the place, very upper class, and overall everything was great

rooms, lobby, and bar made us feel like we were in a very high class hotel

amazing amenities, ie espresso bar, gym, elegant restaurant/bar

tried the bananas foster french toast via room service, and it was well worth the $$ spent

the bar was convenient and comfortable

the bar was nice with a good selection of local beers and friendly bartenders

didn t get to see the full finished bar due to renovations and the tv in our room has low pixel quality

the gym wasn t open, everything else was perfect!

the free shuttle service was also a plus and the staff was super

we had little kids that were very disappointed

booked a 2 queen bed with sofa bed for my family of 4, kids are teenagers, and they did not keep this room for

hot to a point that was scalding, front desk was rude when requested additional blankets for my kids, and the

unavailable due to flooding the night before which was the main feature i was looking for, so my kids

i know, lots of high school kids in town

the pool was very large and the workout rooms were top notch

we loved using the pool

the staff is great and nice, the bar is great and the bartender, is the best

and bar area was great

is we were not aware there was state wrestling going on so our little get away without the kids did not go as

we weren t able to enjoy the pool at all before we had to check out and my kids were super bummed

were people drinking and having a pizza party in a space that was already full with people and kids that wanted

all of the kids/noise/crowds!

the pool area is great for the kids, and the fitness area looks wonderful as well

was great, bar and the staff at the bar was great, front desk staff was wonderful, location is amazing and

staff were all incredibly nice our entire stay, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was pretty

and cleanliness of room, i only wished they had coffee served all day and the bar opened

said there was a bar in the booking ad but the bar was shut down and that was something we really wanted and

only one negative thing that happened was the receptionist told us the wrong time for breakfast

was closed to families after 8 apparently an iowa law when not serving food and only alcohol kids can't be in

best part was how affordable the stay was with three kids and how big that pool was

the beds are full size, so if you are bigger couple with kids it's not recommended

example: cereal for the kids, fresh fruit, oatmeal, toaster/toast

love the shuttle service

we could get away as a couple for the iowa deer classic with out our kids and still feel like we were at home

lot of adults are taller then kids and there joints and bodies don't move at ease to get yourself off the toilet

with a 3 foot area roped off at one end for smaller children & a 9-foot deep end where our older kids could jump

the pool was open (despite social distancing), so the kids and i had a great time swimming

had a conjoined room to not have to sleep in a different room than my husband and separate the kids

so the kids went to swim later that night and she argued that they didn t stay there they couldn t

and i am not going to sleep well with two kids under ten, and an adult child that could get scooped up if i

very very nasty my kids never sleeped there they out imdetley

coffee was supposed to be made and never has been for the last 2 weeks that i know of there's kids running this

also, this hotel does not have a hot tub, kids do not eat free

also, the kids wanted to swim in the hot

arrival and she charged me again, completely ruin my trip, because that money was to go to my kids for school

the kids were well behaved, but there was a lot of noise until midnight

pool area was over come by older kids and men jumping in the pool and screaming , and not really watching out
