warm and welcoming bar with lovely wood fired stove

the bar maid mandy was very helpful and friendly and the owner colin was a great source of information

lovely place to stay, clean and modern rooms with tea/coffee making facilities, lovely tradional bar with wine, ciders, very nice local ales and of course

the locals are friendly even though we pinched their seats at the bar

to pre order breakfast the night before and a small bar area

breakfast was exceptional and it is a beautiful hotel, not too far from the motorway.

if you're a golfer, the carlisle golf club is minutes away

my kids were on top of the world when they saw freely roaming horses in the backyard of the hotel

from the well equipped room, the incredibly comfortable four poster bed and the spa bath, it was one of the best we've stayed in

so peaceful and plenty of lovely walks and adventures exploring for the kids

parking was always available and the hotel grounds are amazing all round

breakfast had varied selection of local produce and there was something for everyone

the staff were very friendly, the hotel was ideal for us as an older couple (kids now old enough to leave)

meanwhile the humans had a wonderful dinner and a great breakfast

fi band width is not good & every time we need to go the bar or the reception which is little in convenient

i had a massage in the garden spa and it was very tranquil

has a local reputation and was indeed very good and reasonably priced as was the breakfast ev charging is available but was expensive in comparison to any other hotel i have stayed at, or
