pool and spa facilities were at the sister hotel a few minutes walk down the road

we very much enjoyed the use of the pool at the sister hotel in the

windows overlooking river, and there was not the room service when needed

poor wifi throughout, bathroom a little dirty in places, dim lighting in the bedroom.

path it doesn't really matter and you still get to enjoy the views from the restaurant over breakfast

a good varied choice of breakfast. the food was well prepared and good.

nearby (our favourites were billy s in hawkshead on 5 mins drive away) and the boardwalk bar & grill in windermere, which can be accessed via a 10min ferry trip (with car) from nearby (+)breakfast bar area and lounge were excellent and the dining room was lovely with a spectacular (+) we enjoyed the bar that was inside one evening that we didn t realise was there, lovely extra touch (+)location away from busy towns, with spectacular views from the west facing rooms, garden terrace, bar and dining room (-)no real ale beer on site and bar person ignored me as other staff were really friendly. (+) nice bar and lovely dining room (+) the bar and restaurant very cosy
