- as is usually the case in portugal - the pool isn't heated, which meant it was a very short dip for me

exceeded our expectations - we had a separate large lounge area and two terraces overlooking the pool and central area

the hotel is very beautiful, the spa was fabulous

to the bathroom was broken, pillows terribly uncomfortable, no dedicated bar after 7pm, pool always overcrowded with no vacant chairs after 9 am

when we asked to pay the meal, the waiter asked to pay at the bar that was located next to the lobby

suite with a livingroom (fireplace, 4m+ room height, comfortable couches), kitchenette, dressing room, bedroom and bathroom (+)the well equipped kitchen allows a good mix of self-catering or restaurant dining and we enjoy the extra space (-) a tip to let the kitchen know beforehand not to over salt your dishes (-)view of the excellent kitchen, we were surprised and very disappointed to find that it was closed on one evening (+) we had our private little house with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom (-)from the inter-leading self-closing kitchen-dining room door that clattered and banged incessantly during meals as waiters passed (-)aware that to eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant requires 2 hour notice to the kitchen to prepare the food (-)kitchen in the suite was large and easy to use, but lacked some essential items and was not well (-)large dogs. coming to the table when we were eating and wandering in and out of the kitchen

the wifi works perfectly fine here

swimming pool was very nice but the music from the 4 speakers around it was quite loud and annoying

really nice hotel with good-sized rooms and a lovely bar and restaurant

new space with activities for kids and grownups - the owners are still figuring it out but it has a lot of potential

heated pool is excellent, a comfortable temperature with different depths good for toddlers through to

some things were still being improved, like the new pool bar and restaurant external area but the room was perfect, staff was super polite and helpful and

pool bar was great and at the end of the day a great place to have a drink and to stick your tired feet
